Collaboration is a powerful and often an underutilized tool for developing as an artist. The goal of the exhibition is to bring local artists and creatives together in order to break down the boundaries between different artistic approaches, styles, and mediums. Collaboration can be interpreted in many different ways; from two artists with similar styles creating together, to mentorship, to inspiration. Some artists collaborate for emotional reasons, others for inspiration, and sometimes it takes more than one person's skill set to complete a project. Whether it's one or several of these concepts. Great minds have always come together to create, expand knowledge and discover fruitful collisions of practice.

This exhibition is meant to spark inspiration and give the Chicago local Bridgeport art community a supportive space to be expressive together. Please note that this exhibition will be open to graduating students, recent alumni, self-taught artists and emerging artists. You must be at least 18 years old to apply. We welcome all mediums:painting, drawing, photography, collage, video, performance etc. We are hoping to show around 20 artist collectives contingent upon the work accepted. Accepted artists will be welcomed to talk about their works and process with the public and fellow artists in the show. These discussions will take place sometime during the Saturday & Sunday gallery hours. We are also in the process of organizing a professional artist practice workshop more information TBD.

Please note that at least one of the artists in the collective must be currently living and practicing in the Chicago area. Individual artist applications will not be accepted. Due to the short duration of the pop-up exhibition, we highly recommend that artists not ship their artworks and that they drop them off in person.
